This site is run by me, Rob Stent as someone who has an interest in the exchange programme.
My parents and I hosted students in 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 and I've been to visit Bergen 3 times since I first took part in the scheme.
During my last visit in July 04 I thought it would be a good idea if there was a site where people could write about their experiences during and after the scheme, and where I could write about my trip. So I decided to make one, and things have gone from there.

About the Scheme
For several years the Hordaland exchange programme has brought up to 20 Norwegian 6th form students to study in various Cardiff schools and colleges for a year. During this time they stay with a family, with the idea of experiencing British culture, and of course to practise their english. The programme is beneficial to both the visiting students and their host families, and many lasting friendships have been made as a result of the programme.
