One of the ways in which Cardiff is celebrating its centenary is by recovering the original clock for the Pierhead Building. It is hoped that it will be shipped to Cardiff from its current home in Alabama, shipped courtesy of Star Shipping of Bergen. We just hope that it will be while you are around – for lots of photo opportunities to promote the Hordaland International High School.

TRAVEL
Vibeke Mikkelsen has reminded me that the earlier you book flights the cheaper they will be. You can fly via Amsterdam directly to Cardiff Wales Airport, but that is usually the more expensive option. If you come into London, you may wish to look up www.megabus.com . Megabus offers incredibly cheap travel between London & Cardiff, provided you book online. The fare is sometimes as little as £1.50. National Express is now competing, offering journeys for £5 or £9. www.nationalexpress.com/home/hp.cfm
